KLE Institute of Physiotherapy located in Belgaum and catering physiotherapy education and services since 1994, is one of the premier Institute in the field of Physiotherapy.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy Course of 4 ½ years was started in 1994 at K.L.E.S. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum under Department of Physiotherapy affiliated to Karnataka University Dharwad. In 1997 it got affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

It is the first Institute to start Master of Physiotherapy program in the year 2000 under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The Department of Physiotherapy emerged as an independent Institute in 2004 and today is well known as “K.L.E. Institue Of Physiotherapy”, Belgaum.

KLEU Institute is the leading hysiotherapy Institute in India. In the span of 30 Years.., the Institute has grown in all dimensions. Serving the society is our motto and hence extending the Physiotherapy services through many peripheral centres. Research and development unit is vibrant and boast to have 452 research publications in various national, International and regional Journals. …

• On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the Literary Committee of KLE Institute of Physiotherapy organised a Teachers’ Day celebration at the institution with great enthusiasm and gratitude towards the teaching fraternity.The programme was graced by Dr. Alka Kale, Director, Directorate of Global Strategic Partnership, KAHER, as the Chief Guest. The event was also honoured by the presence of Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Principal of the institution; Dr. Santosh Metgud, Vice Principal; and Dr. Basavraj Motimath, Vice President of the Student Council.The celebration was organised to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the academic and professional journeys of students. The programme brought together faculty and students in an atmosphere of respect, gratitude, and celebration.
• The Cultural Committee successfully organized an E-Poster Making Competition on the theme “Prevention, Management and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke.”
• On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day 2026, the Club Committee organized a Myth Buster Event on the theme “Mental Health.” The event aimed to raise awareness and challenge common misconceptions about mental health through an engaging and interactive activity.
• As part of World Physiotherapy Day 2026, the Extramural Committee organized a Reel Making Competition on the theme “Prevention, Management and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke.”
• On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day 2026 (08/09/2026), the NSS Unit 5 and the Department of Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) organized a Free Physiotherapy Camp and Door-to-Door Awareness & Knowledge Assessment Program on the early signs of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases at Kallehol Village, Belagavi Taluk.The initiative aimed to promote early recognition, prevention, and timely management of stroke and cardiovascular conditions while strengthening community health awareness.
• As part of World Physiotherapy Day 2026, the Literary Committee organized a Debate Competition on the topic:“AI in Physiotherapy: Augmenting Human Expertise Rather Than Replacing It.”The event featured insightful discussions by five participating teams and was judged by Dr. Vilas Pattar.
• On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day 2026 (08/09/2026), the KLE Institute of Physiotherapy, NSS Unit 5, organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with the Blood Bank of KLE Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Belagavi.The camp received an encouraging response, with a total of 11 units of blood collected, contributing towards saving lives and supporting community healthcare needs.
• On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day 2026, the Entertainment Committee of KAHER Institute of Physiotherapy, Belagavi, organized a series of online guest lectures for the interns.The sessions were graced by two eminent speakers, Dr. K. Madhavi and Dr. Vishwaprakash Gupta, who shared their valuable insights and experiences with the participants. The lectures provided an enriching learning experience and offered the interns an opportunity to broaden their professional knowledge and perspectives in the field of physiotherapy.The event was well received by the interns and contributed meaningfully to the celebration of World Physiotherapy Day 2026.
• World Physiotherapy Day Talk by Dr.Varsha Huddar,Dr.Arsti Welling ,Associate Professors KAHER Institute of Physiotherapy Belagavi at KLE Venudhwani Radio Station.
• Congratulations to the Swimming Team of KAHER Institute of Physiotherapy, Belagavi! 11 Gold | 10 Silver | 3 Bronze.An outstanding performance at the Intercollegiate HUMBO Swimming Competition 2026. Proud of your dedication and achievement!
• The Anti-Ragging & Anti-Narcotics Committee organized a Poster Making Competition on 16th September 2025 to promote a safe, respectful, and healthy campus. Students participated enthusiastically under the themes “Ragging Ends Where Respect Begins” and “Be High on Life, Not on Drugs.” The posters were judged by Dr. Peeyoosha Gurudut and Dr. Anjana Javali. The activity effectively promoted awareness, creativity, mutual respect, and commitment towards a ragging-free and drug-free campus.
• Modak Making Competition 2026. As part of the Ganapati Festival celebrations, the Entertainment Committee organized a Modak Making Competition for undergraduate students on 17th September 2026. Students enthusiastically showcased their culinary talents through a variety of traditional and innovative modaks, reflecting creativity, skill, and festive spirit.
